40km/h Zones

Hey All,

Random observation: on Monday afternoon as I was driving home past one of those lit up 40km/h signs on Middleborough Rd/Stevensons Rd, I saw it stop flashing. Yep, it was exactly 4pm.

Today as I was driving to uni, I again past the same set of 40km/h signs and this time I saw them start flashing. And yep, it was exactly 8am.

I've driven past there so many times but I've never seen the 40km/h signs just light up or just stop lighting up. But now it's happened twice in 3 days...wow, so freaky.

Another thing...yesterday I was one of about 20 cars parked in a row on the gravel. When I went back to my car, my car was flanked by P-platers. Quite literally 6-7 cars on either side of me consecutively were P-plated cars. So out of the 20 cards, I think I was maybe 1 of 2 or 3 cars without a P-plate. I thought that was funny.

Yep, boredom has hit.

Over and out.

You Know You're Getting Old When...

Hello Readers,

Ever get the feeling you're getting old? Yes, I may only be 21, but it's while I'm at uni that I start feeling kinda old. It's a weird feeling, as I'm always used to being the youngest (or one of the youngest) in my group of friends. Anyway, here are a couple of indications of my "oldness":

(1) In the first week of uni this year during the first Japanese tute, people did a self-introduction (in Japanese) saying what year they were in. Everyone else in the class had said that they were either 1st, 2nd or 3rd year students! So it was kinda embarrassing :S

(2) When I through the car park and to my car, I regularly see numerous P-plated cars surrounding my P-plateless car. I definitely feel like the odd one out there...haha

(3) I'm one of the remaining people still around at uni from the initial "1st year group" of friends that we formed in the first few weeks of uni. I'm still unemployed :(

Ah well, not a very entertaining post but I thought a couple of those observations were interesting. Oh yeah, one more thing...I definitely do feel quite old hanging around AIESECers now, cos everyone is so young!

Alright, I'm waiting for all your old fart jokes now (as lame as they may be)...I'm looking more towards the AIESEC gang *cough* Shu and Emma :P You young 'uns!

Over and out.

What Do You Think?

Hey All,

A couple of weeks ago after a fairly lengthy conversation with a couple of people about their religion, of which they are very devout followers. This got me thinking a bit, and I thought that I'd put this question out there:

Would the world be a better place without religion?

I may be naive in stating that question, and there are obviously many arguments and other factors which surround this topic, but what do people think? I might look at this in hindsight and think "Why did I ask such a silly question?", but now it's been said I'd be interested in what people think.

In the meantime, it's back to the books!
